Together with the Member States, the European Commission launched in 2003 the EURAXESS Services network.

EURAXESS services network aims to provide information and advice to researchers coming/leaving and moving within Europe, no matters which nationality they are or which funding programme they are going with. The objective is to help remove the barriers to the mobility of researchers.

• European structure: the EURAXESS Services network is co-ordinated by the EU Directorate-General for Research. This network has more than 200 service centres located in 35 European countries

  

• Statal Structure: a Bridgehead Organisation in each country co-ordinates and is responsible for the management of the national network. The Spanish Science and Technology Foundation Foundation (FECYT) was chosen by the Ministry of Science and Technology (now the Ministry of Science and Innovation) as the Spain Bridgehead Organisation to launch the Spanish Network of Mobility Centres (EURAXESS-Spain).
